Luther Beck, Registered Pharmacist

Luther graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in 1970 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy. Luther owned and operated Tri-County Pharmacy in downtown Commerce from 1970 until 1990. Luther’s vast retail experience includes working with Publix as a pharmacy manager in Athens and Winder. He then “came back home” and managed Commerce Drug Co. for 8 years before “retiring.”

We were fortunate to pull Luther out of retirement in 2004 to work part-time in our pharmacies. Luther currently works one day each week at Homer Drug Co., as well as filling in for both stores during vacation times, etc. His energetic and bubbly personality makes patients feel right at home!

Luther is married to Dr. Elaine Beck. They live in Commerce, GA. They have one son, Luther, Jr. and twin grandchildren. In his “off time”, Luther is a master gardener specializing in day lilies.
